Please join Americas Quarterly (AQ) to celebrate all things Cuba with live music, food, drinks—and a discussion of the latest political and economic developments on the island.

One year since the establishment of Cuban and U.S. embassies, AQ's Editor-in-Chief Brian Winter will discuss the changing U.S.-Cuba relationship with Alana Tummino, senior director of policy and head of the Cuba Working Group at Americas Society/Council of the Americas (AS/COA), and Yosbel Ibarra, cochair of Greenberg Traurig’s Latin American and Iberian Practice, who was born in Cuba and frequently advises clients seeking to do business on the island.

We will also celebrate the launch of the first-ever AQ culture supplement, Cultura, with a poetry reading of a Rito Ramón Aroche piece by Kristin Dykstra. Following the reading, we will have a reception with a live band playing Cuban music.

Registration: The event is free of charge for all AS, COA, and YPA members, please email jserrano@counciloftheamericas.org to register.
$10 fee for nonmembers, please click on the Register button to attend.

Entry includes admission to the panel discussion, poetry reading, and reception,
as well as a complimentary copy of AQ’s latest issue, “Memos to the Next President.”
