Overview

Council of the Americas will hold a private, off-the-record luncheon discussion on Mexico with Undersecretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Catherine Novelli.

This will be an opportunity for input ahead of the upcoming U.S.-Mexico High Level Economic Dialogue (HLED), scheduled for February 25 in Mexico City. As the State Department’s most senior economic official and a representative at the HLED, Novelli will give an overview of the agenda and will invite feedback on private-sector priorities.

Following the conversation with Novelli, we invite interested member companies to participate in an internal ideas exchange on specific ways the U.S. and Mexican governments can work together to improve bi-national economic growth and development. Council of the Americas intends to aggregate comments and recommendations in a written product. For those unable to participate in this meeting, we are also happy to receive your comments via e-mail for consideration and possible inclusion. You may send comments or questions to Kezia McKeague at kmckeague@as-coa.org.

Agenda:

12:00 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.: Luncheon discussion with Under Secretary Novelli

1:15 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.: COA meeting on HLED recommendations
