Join AS/COA and Josefina Vázquez Mota for the presentation of her new book El sueño que unió la frontera: Mexicanos que triunfan en Estados Unidos.

The book consists of 65 interviews with a variety of Mexican and Mexican-American leaders and celebrities living in cities across the United States. Highlights range from former Commerce Secretary and Kellogg CEO Carlos Gutiérrez to San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro; from Cesar Millan “the dog whisperer” to astronaut José Hernández. This is Vázquez Mota’s third book; her first was a best-seller, and her second consisted of interviews with international leaders who spoke about Mexico’s potential prior to her 2012 presidential campaign. During Mexico’s 2012 presidential election, Vázquez Mota was the candidate who won the most votes from Mexican migrants.
