Council of the Americas will hold a private, members-only Ambassador Breakfast Series discussion with Gerónimo Gutiérrez Fernández, ambassador of Mexico to the U.S.

This timely discussion takes place before negotiations on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) re-open for the first time since the deal was created in 1994. The process has triggered a major evaluation of the U.S. - Mexico relationship, and put the benefits of the NAFTA agreement up for question. Ambassador Gutiérrez Fernández, who previously served as the head of the North American Development Bank, is considered an expert on the agreement’s impact on both countries’ economies and relations. We invite you to hear the ambassador’s exclusive perspective on Mexico’s trade objectives and his outlook on the negotiations.
