Mexico City Conference - Mexico 2016: Challenges and Opportunities for Growth

The May 13 conference will examine the country’s reforms as well as ways to boost investment and productivity.

New York, May 12, 2016—In 2012, President Enrique Peña Nieto introduced a series of constitutional reforms aimed at opening up the energy sector for private investment, promoting competition in telecommunications, and restructuring the labor market and education sector. Americas Society/Council of the Americas, in partnership with ProMéxico, will hold their annual Mexico City conference, this year entitled “Mexico 2016: Challenges and Opportunities for Growth,” on Friday, May 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The conference will bring together senior public officials and private-sector leaders to examine the effects of the country’s structural reforms as well as ways to boost investment and productivity. This conference will be webcast live.
