2012 Latin American Cities Conferences: Santiago - Chile on the Path to Development 

The annual Santiago conference of AS/COA,“Chile on the Path to Development” on August 30, will address innovation and sustainability in the mining sector, and the role gender equality plays in sustainable economic growth and development.

New York, August 23, 2012 – Americas Society and Council of the Americas will host our annual Santiago conference, “Chile on the Path to Development” co-organized with the Ministry of Finance of Chile, on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Bringing together a group of leading public and private sector officials, this conference will analyze how Chile fosters innovation and sustainability in the mining sector. Panelists will also address gender equality and the role it plays in sustainable economic growth and development.
