BookTV Broadcasts AS/COA Ex Mex Event

On December 16 CSPAN2's Book TV broadcasted the AS/COA-hosted book launch of Ex Mex: From Migrants to Immigrants by Jorge Castañeda. As a former Mexican foreign affairs minister, Castañeda played a firsthand role in attempts at immigration reform. The event featured a panel discussion analyzing current debate over U.S.-Mexican immigration.

On December 16, CSPAN2's Book TV broadcasted the November book launch of Ex Mex: From Migrants to Immigrants by Jorge Castañeda hosted by AS/COA. As Mexico's foreign affairs minister during the administration of President Vicente Fox, Castañeda played a firsthand role in attempts at U.S.-Mexican immigration reform. Following Castañeda's presentation, a panel discussion examined the issues behind current debate over U.S.-Mexican immigration and reform in the United States. Panelists included:

In an AS/COA interview, Dr. Castañeda talked about immigration as a U.S. presidential campaign issue and prospects for reform in the future.
