In a new collaboration, the weekly NTN24 program will feature an AQ segment on issues such as LGBT rights, resource extraction, race, and education in Latin America.

Content from the Americas Society/Council of the Americas policy journal Americas Quarterly is the highlight of a new series in collaboration with Efecto Naím, a weekly television show broadcast by international 24-hour news channel NTN24.

Hosted by Moisés Naím, a renowned columnist and commentator on international politics and economics, Efecto Naím airs Sunday evenings on channels in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, the United States, and Venezuela, and has an estimated viewership of over 10 million.

The first segment in the Americas Quarterly series was broadcast on May 27, and featured the findings of AQ's “Social Inclusion Index,” which measures 11 countries in the region on factors such as economic growth, percent spent on social programs, and civil and political rights.

The next five installments in the AQ series, already in the making, will include interviews with the magazine´s authors and other experts on some of Latin America´s most pressing issues, among them:

  • LGBT rights in the region
