Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, wrote in the Americas Quarterly article that Brazil’s textile and apparel industry, along with industrial machinery and equipment, office machinery and non-metallic metals have all be hard hit by Chinese competition in the domestic market. Imports from China increased at twice the rate as imports from competitors elsewhere, rising by 39% versus the 18% from non-Chinese competitors...
