2016 São Paulo Conference: Competitiveness and the Business Environment in Brazil

New York, April 1, 2016 – Brazil faces many challenges when it comes to competitiveness. It ranks below other emerging markets, including China, India, and South Africa, as well as other Latin American nations such as Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru. Fostering sustainable economic growth, employment, and the standard of living requires becoming more competitive vis-à-vis other countries.

Americas Society/Council of the Americas, in partnership with Amcham-Brasil, will hold their annual conference in Brazil on Tuesday, April 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The event will convene private-sector leaders to analyze the challenges and opportunities for competitiveness in Brazil and its impact on the economy. The conference, taking place at Amcham-Brasil, will be live webcast.
