AS/COA hosted a pre-trip primer for media and the public in anticipation of President Lula´s first trip to meet with President Obama. Topics included issues to be discussed by Presidents Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Barack Obama during their March 14 meeting; how they can expand cooperation on such issues as the economy, trade, energy, and climate change; and what role Brazil may play in mediating Washington's relations with Venezuela and Cuba.
